What is the SQUIREL modular storage system?
SQUIREL is a British-designed and manufactured modular storage system for garages, workshops and workspaces. Built from premium birch plywood, it can be configured, expanded and reconfigured as your space and storage needs change.
How does the SQUIREL modular system work?
Start with a Starter Kit and build from there. Modules can be added vertically or horizontally, allowing you to create anything from a compact storage unit to a complete garage or workshop setup.
Can I design my own SQUIREL system?
Yes. Choose your module sizes, layout and accessories to create a system around your garage, what you need to store and how you use the space.
Can I add to my SQUIREL system later?
Absolutely. SQUIREL is designed to grow with you. Add more modules, drawers, doors or workspace whenever you need them, without replacing what you already own.
Can SQUIREL storage be built around the size of my garage?
Yes. The modular design allows you to build horizontally and vertically, making it easy to create a configuration around the space you have available.
Can I reconfigure my SQUIREL system?
Yes. Your setup doesn’t have to stay the same forever. Modules can be rearranged or expanded as your garage, hobbies, vehicles or storage requirements change.
Can I add drawers or doors to my system?
Yes. Doors, Twin Drawers and our Big Boy Drawer can be added to compatible modules, allowing you to combine open shelving and enclosed storage within the same system.
Can I use SQUIREL as a workbench as well as storage?
Yes. Our Workstation and worktop options combine practical workspace and storage, keeping tools and equipment organised and within easy reach.
What materials do you use?
Our modules are manufactured from birch plywood with a durable phenolic hex-patterned surface, combining strength with SQUIREL’s distinctive modern-industrial appearance.
How strong is SQUIREL storage?
SQUIREL is engineered for demanding garage and workshop use. We recommend loads of up to 100kg per shelf and 80kg per drawer.
Is SQUIREL difficult to assemble?
No. SQUIREL has been designed with straightforward assembly in mind, with key hardware pre-installed where possible and assembly guidance available to help you get set up.
Do you offer installation?
Yes. If you’d rather leave the assembly and installation to us, get in touch. Availability and cost will depend on your location and the size of your system.
Can SQUIREL help me design my garage?
Yes. We can work with you to understand your space, what you need to store and how you use it before developing a layout around your requirements.
Do you offer bespoke garage storage?
Yes. Alongside our standard modular range, we can develop custom solutions for spaces or requirements that can't be achieved with our off-the-shelf modules alone.
What warranty does SQUIREL offer?
SQUIREL products come with a 12-month standard warranty, with the option to register qualifying SQUIREL wooden components for our 5-year extended warranty.
How long does delivery take?
